The star of the night is Marlene Dietrich, and guests must include Yma Sumac, St. Sebastian on his tree with arrows, Neruda, Rimbaud, Genet, Lorca, Tintin, PeeWee Herman, Peggy Lee, Rock Hudson, Doris Day, Marx and Engels surrounded by little children, certain members of the University of Michigan Modern Languages Department, naked men in a tree and lounging on pillows, all set in Detroit.
